The West End Health Foundation Announces 2024 Proactive Grant Recipients
ISHPEMING, MI – The West End Health Foundation (WEHF) hosted a check presentation for the Proactive Grant awardees on June 25, 2024. The amount of funding for the Proactive Grants totaled $50,000. This year, the Proactive Grant funding focused on organizations that provide programs and services with an emphasis on food insecurity in Marquette County’s West End community. For the Proactive Grant Cycle final applicants were required to present to the WEHF Board of Directors before being awarded.
The Board of Directors presented the following Proactive Grant awardees with a check presentation: Partridge Creek Farms (PCF) received $12,750 for Growing and Eating for Better Health in Ishpeming, Negaunee Public Schools received $11,840 for Lakeview School Garden, and Greater Ishpeming Commission on Aging (GICOA) received $25,410 for West End Senior Grocery Getters.
